Description

This Fudgy Brownie Bread is a decadent and moist chocolate loaf that combines the rich flavors of brownies with the convenience of a quick bread. Perfectly fudgy and studded with semi-sweet chocolate chips, it makes an easy and irresistible dessert or snack. With simple ingredients and straightforward steps, this brownie bread is sure to become a favorite for chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Scale

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Sugars

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

Dry Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Add-ins

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard 9×5-inch loaf pan and optionally line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and well blended. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until the batter is glossy and combined evenly.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder to ensure an even distribution and remove any lumps.
  4. Fold Dry into Wet. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula or wooden spoon just until combined. Take care not to overmix to keep the bread tender.
  5. Add Chocolate Chips. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter to add extra chocolate bursts in every bite.
  6. Pour and Bake. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs but no wet batter.
  7. Cool Before Serving. Let the brownie bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes to set, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing into 8 servings.

Notes

  • For extra richness, use dark cocoa powder instead of regular unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Add an extra 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking for a gooey chocolate crust.
  • Slightly underbaking the bread will keep the center extra fudgy and moist.
