Description

This Nacho Cheese Beef Wrap is a flavorful and hearty meal perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Ground beef is seasoned with taco spices and smoked paprika, then combined with nacho cheese sauce, fresh vegetables, and shredded cheese, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. It’s a deliciously cheesy and savory wrap that’s easy to prepare and satisfying to eat.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup salsa

Wrap Assembly

  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Heat the Olive Oil and Onions: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. This should take about 7-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary to avoid greasiness.
  3. Season the Beef: Stir in the taco seasoning, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Then add the salsa and simmer the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine well.
  4. Warm the Tortillas: Heat the flour tortillas according to the package instructions, either in a microwave or on a skillet, until soft and pliable.
  5. Assemble the Wraps: Spread a spoonful of the nacho cheese sauce down the center of each tortilla. Top with the seasoned beef mixture, then add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
  6. Roll the Wraps: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly to enclose all the fillings. Serve the wraps warm for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the filling.
  • Ground turkey can be used instead of beef for a lighter option.
