Description

This Nutella Frappe is a deliciously creamy and frothy coffee-based beverage that combines the rich flavors of Nutella, espresso, and milk. Perfect for a quick indulgent treat or an energizing pick-me-up, this easy-to-make frappe blends a touch of sweetness with the deep taste of coffee, topped optionally with whipped cream for added decadence.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Nutella
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee or 1 shot espresso
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Optional Topping

  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew Coffee or Espresso: If using espresso, pull a fresh shot. Otherwise, brew strong coffee and allow it to cool slightly before use to avoid melting the ice too quickly.
  2. Warm the Nutella: Place Nutella in a small bowl and microwave for 10–20 seconds or gently heat it on the stovetop to soften so it blends easily without clumping.
  3. Blend Main Ingredients: In a blender, combine milk, sugar, softened Nutella, cooled coffee or espresso, and vanilla extract. Pulse and blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. Add Ice and Blend: Add the ice cubes to the blender and blend on high speed for about 1 minute until the drink is creamy and the ice is fully incorporated, creating a smooth frappe texture.
  5. Serve: Pour the Nutella frappe into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream if desired, and serve immediately to enjoy the cold, frothy coffee treat at its best.

Notes

  • Use strong brewed coffee or espresso for the best flavor intensity.
  • Adjust the sugar quantity to taste depending on your preferred sweetness level.
  • Heating Nutella helps it blend more easily, preventing clumps.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute whole milk with almond, soy, or oat milk.
  • Serve immediately as the frappe is best enjoyed fresh and cold.
